Blake William Buether

Blake William Buether joined Christian, Smith, & Jewell, LLC in early 2020 after spending his first three years as an associate working in several commercial and intellectual property litigation boutiques in Dallas, Texas. Blake’s practice area focuses primarily on commercial litigation, in particular, contract disputes and financial or stock fraud. Blake has assisted in representing clients involved in intellectual property matters involving patents and trade secrets in federal and state court in multiple jurisdictions and circuits across the United States and has appeared before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.

Blake obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013 and received his law degree from the Texas A&M School of Law in 2016.

Blake spent a considerable amount of his time in law school participating in oral advocacy addressing a variety of topics and won the American Bar Association’s Moot Court New York Regional Competition. As a result of his many achievements, Blake was inducted into the Order of Barristers in 2016. Blake now utilizes those experiences and focuses his passion and desire to advocate on behalf of his clients and go beyond achieving their goals.

Blake is admitted to the Texas State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District and Eastern District of Texas, and the United States Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
